This person is the 'face of the firm' and expected to greet clients, be personable on the telephone and represent our values.
The role involves approximately 2-3 hours per day of scanning documents, sending them to our clients, managing client files, and filing as needed.
The balance of the day is spent answering phones, handling the court run, and tending to the various tasks and needs of the attorneys on that given day.
This role supports the attorneys and paralegals at the firm by handling non-billable administrative work so that other positions perform billable tasks.
Some key requirements for the position:
Cleanliness - The person in this role is expected to keep his or her personal workspace tidy and is responsible for maintaining a clean office between scheduled cleaning services.
This includes taking out the trash on a weekly basis, running the dishwasher when necessary, and occasionally running a vacuum through hallways.
This person is not expected to clean bathrooms or any form of deep cleaning.
Computer proficiency is a must.
Must be familiar with Adobe, Outlook, and Word.
Must understand how to attach emails, open and save pdfs, etc.
Must be efficient at typing.
Communication - The person serving in this role is responsible for greeting clients when they first arrive and for answering phones.
It is vital that this person be friendly and personable with our clients and communicate well with the staff and attorneys.
Punctuality - This person is expected to arrive to the office on time (8:
00 a.
m.
) and to 'open' the office for the day.
Focus and reliability - The nature of our practice is we all are very busy and do not have time to micro-manage our employees.
The autonomy given to this position comes with the requirement that this individual stay focused.
The right applicant will need to be comfortable working independently.
Reliable transportation - The person who works in this role is responsible for filing documents at the Courthouse each day and for making regular runs for office supplies.
Confidentiality - Confidentiality is of the upmost importance for protecting our clients' information.
X Factor - While it is hard to describe, we need someone who shows up, works, takes pride in accomplishing tasks and, frankly, just gets work done.
The person in this role is expected to be a self-starter who can identify problems and solve them.
Team player - the person for this role must be willing to be adaptable and to take on new projects/tasks as needed.
The person hired for this position will be paid $18.
00 - $19.
00/hour depending on experience and will be subject to a one-year probationary period.
Paid time off (PTO) begins accruing after six months of employment at a rate of one day per month (12 paid days off per years).
This individual will be eligible for enrollment in the firm's healthcare plan after sixty (60) days.
The firm pays for half of the monthly premium.
The employee will also be eligible to enroll in the firm's 401k plan after one year of employment.
The firm makes an annual employer 401k contribution for each employee who is enrolled in the firm's 401k plan.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
