This position can be full-time or part-time and includes beingresponsible for the care of our residents, which can be hands-on and/orstand-by assistance as needed.
AtHighgate, providing care means to provide for the whole person, providingphysical assistance with activities of daily living and emotional, psychological,and soulful support.
The successful candidate will be an organized and detail-orientedindividual with a positive and self-motivated attitude.
You must have strong communicationand critical thinking abilities as interacting with seniors while providingcare requires both abilities.

SKILLS NEEDED:
Good customer service skills, theability to intuit, and problem solve Patience, level headedness, andcompassion Ability to pivot, change direction andaccomplish tasks with innovative approaches Background in working with differenttypes of people with different ability levels Team player with ability to developstrong working relationships Ability to take feedback andincorporate it into your efforts An understanding of what it takes toprovide care to residents that need physical and/or cognitive support Comfortable to adapt quickly to thechanging needs of an older adult An understanding or the willingness togain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents withdementia can continue live with purpose RELATABLE
Experience:
Prior experience working in an assisted living community or memory care community Jobs or volunteer assignments that have given you opportunities to provide care for someone Other hospitality or healthcare related experience Experience in customer service Roles in which you have been amulti-tasker Opportunities from your past whereyou have demonstrated kindness, patience, and compassion to varying groups andindividuals Volunteer work involving vulnerablegroups
Qualifications:
1- At least 18 years of age 2- Ability to obtain CPR & First AidCertification 3- Ability to obtain required caregivinglicense within specified timeframe if necessary 4- Current negative TB test 5- Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend,and move continuously during work hours 6- Ability to carry or transfer up to50lbs with assistance 7- Ability to pass criminalrecord/background check 8- Be efficient and exercise good timemanagement skills 9- Must be able to work wellindependently with little oversight 10- Must have a track record of top-notchorganizational abilities and communication skills 11- Willing to attend and incorporate intoyour work efforts different types of training As an organization we offer our team members agood benefits package, the ability to be heard, have their opinions count andthe opportunity to innovate.
Ourcompensation package will be flexible for this role based on the credentialing,tenure and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration.
The hourly wage range for this position is$17.
00 to $21.
00 per hour.
Priorexperience working with seniors is a plus.
